Albuquerque pawn was purchased by Kristens mom, Ruby Jean in 1974. Ruby loved helping people. She also loved the nightlife. After several years, she was ready to make a move & needed help in the pawn shop. She had met Jay, he was only 18, she knew he was the man for the job, she hired him to take over the store so she could follow her dreams & she opened a country western nightclub. Jay built the shop up over the years. We lost momma at 61 to cancer. Then along came Kristen. Now a husband and wife team, blessed to carry on her legacy. Thank you for sharing our story. K&J
